Default BumGenius 3.0 on newborn?

Just wondering if anyone has any experiance with the BumGenius 3.0 pockets on a newborn or would I be better off getting a special newborn size (maybe the BumGenius AIO) for those first few weeks?

(I know a lot of you will say to just use flats or prefolds to start out with but I would really like to avoid those.)

Smile Re: BumGenius 3.0 on newborn?

I just saw a pic of a NB that was about 8 1/2 pounds and the BG 3.0 looked like it fit ok, I wouldn't say it was overly bulky
(So it is going to depend on what size bubs you have)

found the thread from Diaper Swappers, Please, Please, Post pics of Bumgenius Dipes on your LO!!! - Page 2 - Diaper Swappers - Cloth Diaper & Parenting Community

Default Re: BumGenius 3.0 on newborn?

I read somewhere that they are mainly or 10lbs up. That is what was kind of worrying me since I am expecting her to be somewhere between 6 1/2 - 8 lbs. Both my boys were under 8lbs. I guess it isn't really the bulkyness that I am worried about, more the containment issues. lol I am going to go check out that link though.
