Smile Need Help With Night Time MCN

OK I'm ready to start looking in to MCN for night time

I what I need to know is how many I need for Felicity, Nick, Ben (may need XL) and I also have Tom who at four is still wearing a nappy to bed. They are are big wetters, I would like something that does not need a cover over them. I don't mind waiting for them as I would like to put them on lay buy and pay them off.

Thanks heaps, Angela

Night nappies that don't need a cover...well the only thing I can think of now is Keester Kover. You can ask for bigger size like XL to be custom made. They need a little bit of boosting for heavy wetters, I find a bamboo trifold is sufficient enough for a super duper wee monster

Does KK have a website so I can check them out or are that on a WAHM store?

i would make a list of each child's weight in kg, and work out their rise.

THe rise is:
get a tape measure, start at their belly button, take tape down under their bottom and up the back, to the small of the back. That length is the rise. It really helps to know the rise to accurately buy a good size for your child - when you buy online and can't try them on first, every assistance (e.g measurements) will help.

THings i see mentioned to help heavy wetters are things like:
- super thirsty bamboo trifolds to boost, or insert in night pockets
- 12 and 16 ply wool used for longies (if using over a fitted night nappy)

Nappies that don't need covers (they come with waterproofing outers) are styles like

- AIO (all in one)
- Ai2 ( all in two)
- pockets

the difference between them?
AIO - one thing to put on baby - waterproof outer, absorbency is sewn into the nappy, inner of nappy is a stay dry fabric usually

AI2 - one thing to put on baby - waterproof outer, absorbency is made up of boosters and trifolds that are often snapped into the inner layer, stay dry layer lines the nappy

POcket - one thing to put on baby - waterproof outer, absorbency comes from the insert or trifold that you stuff inside the pocket opening, stay dry layer lines the nappy.

So either of those three will mean NO COVER.

THe beauty of the fitted nappy is that sometimes, it's easier to boost them, esp for a heavy wetter.

i'll try to think of a few examples of each style for you,so you might go browse, to help you research

AIO style night nappy - Kester Kovers AIO at possum pouches

Ai2 style night nappy - Bits for Bots fleece AIO at the bits for bots website, Snoozywuns night nappy at the Widdlewuns store at OzeBaby.com.au
Sugarpeas nappy system - you buy the malden mills fleece cover and a sugarpeas nappy insert which you snap into the cover - see them at nurturenappies.com.au, or The WeeWuns or www.babyblossom.com.au or Cloth Nappies | Bumgenius | Cloth Nappy Covers | Reusable | Berry Plush | Baby Beehinds | Information

POcket style night nappy - bits for bots fleece pocket at the bits for bots website, they also have a store on ozebaby

Nurture nappies has this thirsty booster called a Super Bambooster, i lie this inside a malden mills cover and it functions like an AI2.

Most nappies go up to 16kg no worries, i don't know the weight of your 4yo obv, but if he's over 16kg, the KK AIO by request is what would come into my mind first, just email the PP site.

Oh bummer I wish I had read this before I got a Snoozywuns, I hope it will be right for Flissy.

I highly recommend Keester Kovers too. Robyn just made two for us
My DD is a heavy wetter and they last really well. I have a couple of 2nd hand ones that I put a little extra boosting in.

Yes both were fleece. We have 6 altogether (four 2nd hand ones) although one is Minky outer which we love just as much
