Default Best covers for Kissaluvs size 0

What are the best covers to go with the kissaluvs size 0? Does a cover interfere with the snap down bit that keeps the nappy off the umbilical stump? I was kind of thinking that the cover would probably rub on the stump, would I be wrong?

I just discovered the Kissaluvs tonight and have been looking at them most of the night and they sound absoloutly wonderful for newborns and from what I have read they seem to last a few months as well. Especially like that almost everyone seems to say that they contain BF nb poop extreamly well.

I found that they worked with a large range of covers....
generally small covers though, not newborn sized ones, because they are quite wide in the crotch, especially if you include having to tuck the leg "frills" inside the cover.

I'm trying to think that far back... ... I used a big variety and loved the kissaluvs for fit, they were a favourite in our house.

I didn't find that the covers rubbed on the umbilical cord stump at all, from what I can remember.

I was just looking at the Thirsties covers on Darlings Downunder. It says that x-small has a special cut out for the cord and that they have a generous cut to them. I wonder if they would fit ok in the x-small. It sounds like it would be a good option if it would.

I used the thirsties covers in xs with a variety of fitteds till about 5 weeks (bub was 3.9kg at birth).

The gussets were great and they also give extra width to the crotch if that what you are worried about.

Thanks or the tip on the boosting Viki & Amanda.

Very good to know that the Thirsties should fit just fine. I am hoping to grab a Kissaluv and a Thirsties xs this week to take a good look at.

Just wondering how many boosters you would suggest getting?

I used the size 0 kissaluvs with xs thirsties in the beginning. they worked great and were out of the way of the stump and clamp so didn't interfere at all. We're still using the size 0's at nearly three months too, still fit ok, but absorbency wise they are not lasting as long. excellent for containing nb poo though and very cute on a tiny bubba

ETA: just saw you q about boosters... I bought one kissaluv booster to go with each kissaluv. just used the one and I had to fold it in half to have it in the nappy.

Thanks Kim. I love that the Kissaluvs last so long in most cases unlike a lot of other newborn size nappies, and that they are more of a newborn size than most others too. It makes me feel better about spending the extra money on a newborn specific stash.
