Storing Nappies

Macy is starting to grow out of some of her small nappies, and I am wanting to put away some of the unisex ones for the next one.

I know I could sell or trade them, but I did promise DH it was an "investment" for more than one baby!!

So, my question is - What is the best was to store them and how should I prepare the nappies for storage?

Ive strip washed the smaller ones Lilli grew out of and just put into a drawer. you dont want to box them and put them in the shed or something as you dont want them absorbing any moisture, as they will go moudly.
Just make sure you know where you put them will stay dry.

Strip wash then put them in a vacuum bag That is what I say about everything. Those things are great. No bugs, dust, mould or horrid smells

how long will you storing them for? i often wonder whether it's better to sell them off 2nd hand, then buy 2nd hand again for next bub ... the elastic of our nappies has often been dead when i have taken them out of storage (a's nappies for benji, and now for baby no. 3). but that is fine if you can replace elastic.

i think some elastic lasts longer than others. my cherubs kiss smalls (which aren't lastin) for example are all fine. but the ones with lastin have mostly perished. not all .. but most.

course if the elastic is dead you can always just use them like contour nappies with a snug cover!

What an interesting question! I've often wondered about this...

It would be nice to have a heap of shelf space in one of the bedrooms to keep your nappies until you need to use them for the next baby. This would be much more ideal than actually storing them in containers.

Really should start to think more seriously about this... my little girl is ALMOST ready to potty train. Sometimes it seems like she'll never get it.
