Default your favourite newborn nappy

I am starting to look online for nappies for the bubs due in March.

I only have one nappy so far which I got yesterday, a CGR designs nappy which looks gorgeous by the way. I never did cloth with DD until she was close to six months old so I started off buying large nappies with her. At this stage I am considering having my whole stash as AIO's for ease of use, with maybe a pocket nappy or two in there. I dont think I want to go down the fitteds/covers route this time, and I dont plan on using flats (never used them before. Ive managed to convince my DF that we are using cloth, he goes for the 'throw aways' as he calls them but likes the look of the nappies I have shown him so far. So, as he is sold on the 'cuteness' factor, Im looking at getting a lot of OOAK's or fab prints etc.

I am considering getting-
Some itti bittis, the minkee ones look awesome they weren't around with DD so have to try these.
Some dragonfly magiks
Some more CGR's I think, this one I got is gorgeous.

Beyond these, Id love some suggestions from ppl as to what worked for your bubs and what your favourite newborn nappy was. Also, please jog my memory on places that do beautiful OOAK's as it has been a while since I bought nappies now

Thanks

bubblebubs
honeyboy!

I am a real AIO lover but TBH its not easy getting a good fit on those newborns. My small ittis still gape at the leg and E is nearly 4 months.

If you dont want the hassle just use prefolds, pad folded inside the cover....makes it easy as an AIO

Couldn't get AIO's to work for us at the NB stage I can only suggest that you aim for natual inners on AIO's while they are little. Stay dry inners tended to repel really easily as they didn't wee very hard iykwim. They more dribble often.

Best of luck

Newborn aio's we loved were bubblebubbs Honeyboys, and beetlebums. We had one sidesnap swaddlebee pocket small that was great too.

I love my bubblebubs, berryplush and safari (they have seconds on sale of these at the moment). My itti bitti's also gape around the legs at the moment. I've been using all these nappies since about 3kg. My little man is now only 4 kg. So, he definitely covers the newborn size. Plus with all of these, my little man still has heaps and heaps of space to grow

I've definitely been eyeing of the cgr's, but there never seem to be two for sale at one time.... plus my DH would probably kill me if he saw me with new nappies. At least plain ones seem to blend in to my old batch

Bubblebubs are great- the newborn size only lasts a little while, but smalls should fit from birth and last a lot longer (on my bub anyway).
Fitted Ittis and D'lish worked well also.
Small sized Honeyboys are great- no leaks for us. Also, Bumgenius AIO was a great little newborn nappy.
Kissaluvs are very cheap and we never had any leaks with those.

Bubblebubs were fantastic on my nb
And I too love Kissaluvs. Used them up till 5 months.

I didn't use ittis until 4 months but i bet they would have been great too.

How is the fit of the safari? We have one L for our DS and was wondering how the small fits. I love our safari
