I dunno lol. Bamboo fabric to make my own boosters.

I want to sew my own boosters, I asked my SIL if I could borrow her sewing machine.

I need a template I guess and I don't even know how to make my own boosters.

MOrgs you might be able to get some locally and save yourself postage. Check with Margaret River Hemp Co, they used to sell hemp and I think bamboo fabric, not sure if they still do.

Margaret River hemp co still sells Hemp french Terry by the meter (comes in a tube) I sewed a heap of boosters out of that. They didn't have bamboo last time I was there. You don't need a template just make them rectangular with slightly rounded edges for easier sewing.

I made inserts for pocket nappies and just made them a long rectangle with two layers of hemp french terry- so I could fold it into thirds and stuff in nappy to reduce drying time. I made them approx 90cm x 10cm, but I would say make them smaller for a booster. You could make them long to fold them in half or just sew more layers together - they won't dry as quickly but you won't have to fold them every time.

Well I ended up borrowing a sewing machine from my friend, who funnily enough didn't mention the stupid thing every time I whinged I wanted to sew lol. I bought a metre of double sided terry toweling from SL for the hell of it to make my own wipes. They didn't have any bamboo fleece.

I did ring the Margaret Hemp joint in Freo and they didn't have any bamboo fleece either! Damn I wish I had read this before I went out, because I could've taken a drive over to Freo!

I can go over next week to get some of that Hemp terry. Could I possibly make boosters out of the terry toweling I bought from SL? Like sew 2 pieces together?

I don't want to make a huge booster I fold over. Um don't know to put it....

Is it possible to cut out a length that will fit in nappy that can look like this booster?

Boosters & Inserts - Bambineo Bamboo Boosters

Or should I make a 20cmx20cm to fold over?

You might be better making a 20 x 20 foldover to help with drying time. The nappy terry they sell at Spotlight is pretty thick from memory so the sewing machine may struggle with it.

Did you ask MR Hemp Co. if they have hemp fleece in stock? I actually prefer the hemp fleece over the terry as it is softer. As for Bamboo my favourite for nappy making would be fleece too.

I rang the Hemp place in Margaret River and they have Hemp French Terry im stock and they can send me some if I pay by credit card or direct deposit.

I'm going to ring up tomorrow and I will enquire about the hemp fleece at the same time.

As for the terry toweling I bought, I guess I need a ruler and texta to line out 20x20?

You can order the hemp and cotton terry online.

    http://www.hempco.net.au/shopping/catalogue_view.asp?codeID=TFBFTT

    That could work for boosters?

Ah did you mean cut out 20x20, fold them in half THEN sew them together? Or just hem the edges and then fold in half when it's time to change the nappy?

Sorry for the slow reply, but 20 x 20 and hem the edges, as I see you have already done, in a previous post.
