Default What are cushie tushies like

As per the title, I stumbled across their website today and I am quite taken by their couture nappies (I'm a sucker for a cute nappy). I have been doing some research into reviews and all I can find date from 2007 and there were a few issues raised about them, but they were the old style ....

*sigh* I may be FORCED to buy one just to have a looksee myself, though I wont be using it for a few weeks yet so would like to see what you guys think of them.

I bought a couture and think it is a very cute nappy on the outside, the quality of the nappy on the inside is pretty average. (snaps out of place, stitching coming undone, bamboo on boosters not prewashed as it has shrunk quite a bit, and now the fleece layer sewn to it is significantly bigger, making it all puckery) I also bought a basix at the same time and it has the same issues. I have definitely spent my money on better nappies!
I bought the nappy late last year (Dec)

I used them with Alex (so they were the older style) & loved them - probably 90% of my stash was them.
I have a 3pack I got on layby this time & they look nice. They do look like a large fitting, so not sure how they will go on a newborn for me.
    The customer service is great.
I suppose it all comes down to personal preference - as with all nappies.

If there is one thing that I am rapidly learning about MCN is that what works for one bub will not necessarily work for another bub ....... it all comes down to a bit of trial and error.

It would be interesting to do a survey of you lovely clothie ladies to see which brands of nappies are the most popular amongst you!

baby beehinds bamboo and hemp osfm have to be one of the BEST workhorse nappies. They really are worth getting a heap of. I now have more of them then any other nappy and when we are at home we used them flat out, when Ash has nappy rash I only use them because they seem to help clear it up fast.

I've only used the older version of Cushie Tushies and wasn't very impressed with their performance. The new ones look great though.

We only use Dragonfly Magik for daytime and Whizz Kidz for nights. Side snaps fit Emily well (but not all side snaps are created equal), whereas we don't get a good fit at all with any front closing nappies due to big thighs and tiny waist.

I love BBB's too. They are a great staple nappy but I'm having trouble getting front snapping nappies to fit DS properly at the moment. So at the moment I'm loving side-snapping Whizz Kidz, caterpillar cuties and cute tooshie bamboo delights. They can all take the onslaught of wee that DS throws at them too
