Arrow best pockets to fill with pre-folds

    Hello all,
My little one is fast running out of room in her homemade bamboo prefolds, so i have to start looking to stock up on OSFM pockets. My intention is to use our lovely prefolds as stuffing for the pockets and thought you lovely ladies may have some idea of what pockets are good for this purpose or if there are any that are either super dooper standouts that i must try (regardless of there stuffability) or awful and i should steer clear of (in the collective wealth of experience here) im keen to get a couple each of several different types while we dont need them full time and see what’s best for us but would really appreciate any opinions on what my little one should be spending her baby bonus on! My prefolds are 35x35(ish) and im not keen on cutting the up as hopefully there is still a bit of love left in them for when baby #2 comes along ! the pockets that i like the look of so far are-

Swaddlebees econappi (my fav, and what do you know, the most expensive!)
    Baby kangas
    Bumgenius
    Green kids
    Haute

We have BBH Bamboo fitteds for night so they really just have to be good day performers.
Also if there are any nice trim sized AIO that anyone really loves and would recommend we will be grabbing 5 or 6 of these for under those less forgiving outfits, and when were out on the town.

I think that’s it for now we shall wait for the suggestions to roll in and then do some online shopping.

Hi Fizz and welcome to Nappycino, when you get a chance why dont you pop into 'Getting to know you' and post an intro so we can all say hi to you!!

Anyway, for that size prefold you could use any pocket nappy . I know that the Green Kids are extremely popular and really user friendly (and made in Australia )

For a trim AIO - that would have to be an itti!

Swaddlebees econappi - I really like this one as it has a natural inner, however the stitching is coming apart at the top (nappy is about 1 year old)

Baby kangas - I find this one a bit hard to stuff as the zipper is at the front and I have to reposition the insert properly once it is zipped up (if that makes any sense).

Bumgenius - my daughters bum doesn't like the suedecloth inner much and gets a rash so I have to use a microfleece liner with it. It's also really wide in the crotch.

Green kids - don't have one

Haute - Fine don't like the microfibre inserts but if you're using the bamboo prefolds that won't matter!

I bought one of each of these nappies to try them out and see which ones I liked best. They are all perfectly good nappies though, I'd say buy one of each before you buy a whole stash, jic you don't like them, or they don't suit your baby! I still only have one of each of these nappies as I found I liked fitteds and covers best for at home. Also I prefer the natural inners. I do have 6 Blueberry pockets, I find them to be quite good, but I bought them a year ago before the price hike!!

I am not really a fan of OSFM pockets that have a snap down rise. I found that I could get Indi into most large nappies when she stopped fitting her prefolds. If they dont fit then you could use your prefolds pad folded in a cover till the large pocket fitted.

Having said that, Green Kids dont have a snap down rise so they were great here (still are).

    thanks ladies,
I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and grab a few different types to see whats going to be the best for the bub. I will need to do a bit more research on what fibers the pockets that I like have against my little ones skin and then see how she is going to react to it before i get too carried away, but we wont know until we try, so I think we might do a bit of shopping tonight!!

You could check out Buy for Baby for second hand nappies if you want to try some out and don't want to pay full price!

So far I have purchased the swaddlebees econappi, and a sized swaddlebees AIO/Pocket- side snaps, and an itti delish. Thanks for your suggestions Monicat, I think im going to try and stick to the natural fibers as inners too. I cant wait till they arrive, and we will see how they fit/stuff etc.
What are the other AIO / POCKETS with natural lining? I could only find the swaddlebees, itti, and bumgenius organic.
