Baby Beehinds are a good price. You can probably get good deals 2nd hand too on Buy 4 Baby.

and the Girls, Black Hen, Josh & Pepeyep, ya know it, I'm a trouble maker, sh@tstirrer, b!t@h,generally an opinionated cow, might as well get used to it.Dunno what I'm on about? Just ask Kitikova, she'll know!
I wonder if wool will be to bulky but I keep coming across things on the net where people just use wool and go on about how good it is.

Soakers/longies are bulky under clothes. A wool baby beehinds isn't much bulkier than a BBH PUL cover.
Post a wanted to buy in the trading room??

Yeah I spose I could. I have bought 2 soakers for night time off oztion. I should get them next week.
What about other wool covers? What ones are good for daytime wear and are not so bulky?
WE only use wool covers with Toby, the only pul he's ever worn was a Just Hatched cover (for cute factor and photos ~ so probably used it two or three times) and in his itti d'lishs.
My absolute favs are Sugar Peas, Baby Behinds and Loveybums. Lotus are awesome too, but you'd need to find that secondhand. We also have two awesome pull-on wool covers that Mandy made. Iwool.
We also use a lot of soakers and longies. Longies are pretty much standard wear for Toby. Seriously, there is nothing cuter than a pair of newborn longies though![]()
Iwool, did I say?

I love wool tooAlthough, I dont love it as much as Tik
LOL
We used PUL over fitted nappies during the day at the start unless she was wearing longies of course (always a wool soaker overnight)
Now we use wool over fitted nappied and AIO/Pockets under jeans etc.
Wool is lovely because its very breathable and pretty![]()
I wouldnt say that wool is for the faint hearted, you do need to want to use it and understand how to care for it.
Oh, also, I didnt bother lanolising Indi's wool soakers and longies as they got soiled before they started to smell. Lanolising is to extend the time between washes.
Also, wool is not waterproof, it absords exess moisture that the nappy doesnt contain. The soaker/longies will feel damp if the nappy underneath is wet.
Well maybe I shouldn't buy BBH wool covers lol. I know you can put a pea size bit of lanisoh into a bucket of hot water and then top it up with tepid water then chuck the wool cover in for a while and then wring it out gently in a towel and hang it on a airer or something. I think you wash covers in very little detergent or wool wash once in a while. Maybe I should stick to PUL covers!
Not quite true.
Wool is naturally antibacterial so it doesn't need washing as often as a synthetic like pul. Lanolin doesn't necessarily affect how often you wash wool.
Lanolising replaces the naturals fats in wool (the lanolin) that processing wool takes out of it. It is the lanolin that makes a wool cover water repellent and makes it effective. It's the lanolin in handspun yarn that makes beanies knit from it sought after for its water repellent nature.
Toby's nappies can be damp but I don't feel it on the outside of his woollies, I need to put my hand in his woollies to feel the dampness of a nappy.
I don't lanolise my woollies every wash but I can certainly tell when they need relanolising as their effectiveness reduces.
I think wool is pretty easy to use, mainly because of the reduced washing of covers LOL
