Default new to mcn please help me out

    Hello,

I am currently pregnant with #3 and would like to try mcn this time. Can someone please suggest a brand and style that is easy to use and one size that fits from birth to age 3 (if there is such a thing)

How many nappies will I need to do this full time? and how much approx will this cost? Are MCN good to use on newborns or is it better to wait until they are a little older ( I know with my other 2 i was changing them constantly as they were always wet)

    thanks for any advice

There are heaps of brands with OSFM (one size fits most) - some good ones are Baby beehinds, Cute tooshies (Fitted nappies which need a separate PUL or wool cover)

OSFM All in ones (PUL layer is in the nappy so they don't need a separate cover) - haute pockets, blueberry, swaddlebees, bumgenius

You can also buy some second hand nappies on Buy for Baby to try a few different types and see which ones you like.

Depends on how big baby is at birth as to whether OSFM will fit them from then, you can get plenty of newborn size nappies too, or just use prefolds inside a tight PUL cover.

Cost can vary but there is a lot of good info on Oz Cloth Nappies: Information on Cloth Nappies in Australia and New Zealand: Support, Information, Chat, and Linksabout different types of nappies, costs etc. You can build up your stash slowly by buying a few nappies at a time, when you have the money.
