    Default cloth wipes

ok this may seem like a bit of a nuffy question, but what do you make your bloth wipes out of??

I have some that a friend made for me but i am going to need a few more and thought since i now have my sewing machine set up might try my hand at making some myself.

    Any help would be great.

some of mine have velour one side and sherpa the other side, very nice! Flannel and a terry side work well too.

I like flannel both sides or cotton sherpa and velour for something really special (read . .. POO!)

Anything natural is good. I dont like fleece or anything like that.

I just bought a pile of el cheapo baby sized flannels from Best n Less and The Reject Shop to use as wipes. Also I cut up a old towel and a flannelette cot sheet into squares and sewed a piece of towel and a piece of flannelette together. Wonky as all hell but useable! I just cruised around a few op shops looking for flannelette and a nice big old towel. I found what I was looking for and took it home. I have become a regular op shopper of late lol.

I cut up old flannelette PJ's, and an old terry flat, both of which after nearly 2 years are looking rather threadbare, but still do the job. I like something a bit 'grabby' for those sticky poos.

ETA: and i spray them with chamomile tea.

I just use a 20cm by 20cm square of flannelette folded over with the unjoined 3 sides sewn together.
I started out with 20 by 20 double sided squares but found when cleaning up a mega-mess that I could only ever really use half before I needed a fresh one so I down-sized.
I used cheap flannelette from spotlight, old pj's,sheets- anything.

The first ones I made were two sided flanellette. I made them too small and found them a bit quick and ended up using facewashers.

I was given some terry sherpa ones that were great. They could have been a little bigger.

And this time I have made a huge stash with a mixture or flanellette ones and terry towelling ones. They are all one sided and I just hemmed the edges over. I am quite happy with them, I find them not too thick not too thin, and also a good size. (About 15x15 or 20x20)
