Just want to see what you think of my stash – I’m a first time mum, and happily planning to go MCN! Have been lurking round here for a bit, reading up on all your wonderful advice, so just want to check I’m all ready to go.
Planning on using a few flats and prefolds to get through the NB stage, and then probably mostly using a OSFM fitted like BBB or Cute Tooshies which I have a few of, and probably some pockets to use my prefolds in. Happy to get started with what I’ve got, and buy a few more of what I think I’ll need down the track once I’ve had a go and see how they work for us.
So far I have:
13 x Cheeky butts bamboo terry prefolds (these are quite small at only 23x32 after washing, but I guess they’ll pad fold and sit in a cover OK? And stuff pockets later?)
24 x terry flats (thanks Mum!)
5 x BBB (but more like 4, as the elastic is gone in one, they were 2nd hand)
6 x Cute Tooshies Bamboo Delights
3 x NB size WAHM Bamboo fleece fitteds (off ebay)
2 x Happy Hempy small pockets (need covers)
3 Bumgenius 3.0 pockets
2 Wonderwraps PUL (osfm)
2 x NB Thirsties PUL
2 x Sm Thirsties PUL
4 x Cheeky Butts NB PUL
30 x cloth wipes
Some lovely microfleece for liners
All associated boosters for the above nappies, plus about 6 bamboo fleece boosters that were given to me.
Plus - 3 x snappies, 1 x BB wetbag, and I think that’s about it.
Once past the NB stage, would like to grab a couple of Itti’s and cute covers for going out, etc. and maybe some wool covers for night time, plus bulking up my stash with whatever else I'm going to use (like OSFM and pockets).
looks good to me, for first 3 mths my boy lived in prefolds and flats with pul/wool covers... he didnt go into MCNs until he fitted mediums (ittis and whatever other nappies i have) ... i used cute tooshies aswell .. as other fitteds before he moved into ittis.
i had 24 flats and 12 prefolds and 2 xtra small thirsties and 4 smalls.
are u going to use a wipes solution, water?? im going to use lavendar and water. i also had 12 fleecy/flannel flats which i used at the hospital, i threw the first one he wore out coz the poo dried on it when df took it home and didnt wash it haha... but i found them less bulky for in hospital.

Hi Kizzzah,
Yes, will try a few of the different wipes solutions I've seen posted on here - like chamomile, or water and lavender.
Luckily, don't have to worry about nappies for the hospital - they provide them (cloth), so just need something to take Bub home in, and have a few options packed and ready to try out!
My only thought would be maybe one more wetbag perhaps? If you use it one day and put it in the wash that night (I always put my nappies in the wash as I go to bed) then hang it out the next am, you'll need something to go out with while it's drying the next morning/day. Know what I mean? I managed on one for a while but have 2 now which is much more convenient.
I'm a cheeky butts fan: when you get past the newborn/small stage you might want to try their m/l pockets with sewn in booster. I use pre-folds in mine which fit really well and size wise they're fairly flexible, my bub went straight from smalls to m/l at about 2-3 months, I think.
My only suggestion is a couple more small thirstie covers or some bb covers, you can't have too many covers when using prefolds. I used this system for my newborn and it worked great, but I found I needed more covers.
I agree with getting another wet bag too.
Other than that it looks great.
