Default Nappy suggestions for a chubby huge 10 week old

Aurora's thighs are massive. She fits into S' LARGE nicnap AIO and a m/l Bits for Bots AIO.

We are running out of nappies that fit and desperately need some more to fill the spaces left in the stash.

We've got NicNaps, Wild Childs & Abby Gros on the way.

Any other suggestions? Prefer not microfibre.

    Hi there

Sounds like my not-so-little girl! Flats are great for chunky babies, and I find pockets often have a bit more room around the thighs. HTH

is she tall for the percentile charts?

i found sidesnapping nappies and nappies that did up with snappis, were the most helpful for my chunky thighed bub. (from 4 - 11 months she had three big rolls on each thigh). then crawling started, and the rolls dropped off. but the sidesnappers STILL fitted her well.

measuring her rise, and comparing that, with whatever nappy you are considering buying, will help you avoid nappies that are too short in the rise, for her, too.

buying nappies with not only her kilos in mind, but also her rise, will help you i think. WAHMS will help you work out the right size to buy.

I've found pocket nappies & flats to be great with the chunky thighs. Although particular brands that worked with Madeleine's drumsticks were green kids, swaddlebees and bubblebubs were our fave for awhile there.

Medium Magic-Alls fit both my 9 week old DS and my 2yr old DD... DD is a bit of a solid girl and DS is a little bigger but reasonably baby-sized.
N for Nibble, 2 years old. C for Curly, 3 years old. B for Bub, 9 weeks old.
Two toddlers and a squishy baby make up my family!

Great, thanks for the advice everyone.
I shall have a look at the MagicAlls - never used them before! How are they absorbency wise, can anyone tell me?
Shall look at side snappers, too.

We haven't been able to use Magic-Alls with our chubby thighed little girl, so you might not have any luck there (too tight on thigh).

A lot depends on how big their thighs are compared to their waist. If they are just generally big all over, you shouldn't have a problem. Emily has a tiny waist and big thighs, so to get a front snapping/velcro nappy done up tight enough around the waist cuts off her thighs and if I do it up to be comfy on her thighs, she's got a huge gape around the waist. Side snap nappies overcome this as you can adjust the waist and leg seperately with the two rows of snaps.

Dragonfly Magik (www.dragonflymagik.com) are a great side snapping AI2 nappy. We've also had some success lately with Cute Tooshies AI2's (www.cutetooshies.com.au) as well. I prefer the no frills ones, but that's just personal preference.

I think you'll need to decide what type of nappy you prefer ie. fitted with a cover, pocket, AI2, AIO and then ask for suggestions of what good side snapping nappies are available in that style.

I'm sure you'll find something that fits really well. Mostly it's just trial and error, so as someone said earlier, Buy for Baby is a great place to grab some 2nd hand nappies to try.

ashton sounds about as big as your little miss. He has been in larges for as long as I can remember

Itti D'lish large SEWN IN were great (the snap ins somehow ended in leg gaps)
    whizz kidz
Auriel (might be able to nab one on B4B as they are quite hard to get)
    Daddle Doo side snappers
    Beetlebum
    CGR
    Wild Child were good too
Genesa Forge side snappers (new to us and just wonderful!)

I really like the bamboo delights by cute tooshies.
I've just ordered 3 of their side snap AIOs and 2 soy fitteds.
Thanks for the help ladies. I shall report back with reviews later.
I have emailed Mel about some BB pockets but have not heard back.

    xx Jess
