My little one has slept through for 2 nights!!! YAH at long last. Anyway, he really stinks badly of wee. Do bamboo or hemp boosters stink the most?/ Why is this, and is there anything you can do to stop it??

YAY to the sleeping through the night !!
I think hemp boosters smell the most. Nut even when I used BBB they still really smelled like wee in the morning. My hubby wouldn't let me use them at night, as I bring DD into bed for breastfeed in the morning and it really stank!
The best combination I have for minimal smell is Sandman night nappy and a Disana wool cover. The nappy is super absorbent and the cover is double layer, so it seems to keep the smell in, until you take the nappy off, then it still smells pretty strong.
My solution for that is making hubby change the babies nappy in the morning (the ONLY perk of having morning sickness)

I always found that hemp retained the smell much more than bamboo - especially night nappies, they would end up smelling rank!
I tried washing them twice, hanging them in the sun for 2 days - didn't work.
The only thing that did work for us was to add a 1/2 cap of dettol to each wash, or a few drops of tea tree.
I agree with Monica and Bek, hemp does smell more esp. if used in a night nappy.
My DD usually sleeps with a BBB on and a wool cover and her nappies are not smelly in the morning. However the other night I grabbed a hemp booster to boost the outside and she was a 'smelly bum' in the morning!![]()

I've added an extra rinse at the end plus do a hot wash once or twice a week (we wash nappies every morning). I've found this helps. I think if you're not washing the night nappy straight away, it's probably a good idea to rinse it. This has helped with stopping night nappies from disintegrating / getting holes too.
