Gorgeous nappies.... and then a cover over top??

I've seen some absolutely gorgeous nappies on various sites, and they're usually snaffled pretty quickly, but it's left me wondering....
Why would I buy a beautiful nappy, then put a cover over the top of it?? Am I missing something? I'd love to get some of the fancy ones, but I can't leave a nappy on Lexi for more than about an hour without a cover or she soaks through! (Hence why I use mostly pockets or AIO)

Just to clarify, this is a serious question, I'm not pulling the piss.

Makes changing stinky nappies more pleasant I think too.

In warmer weather you are able to use most fitteds without a cover of course if absorbancy is right.

But I think it boils down to what your preference is

Yep during summer we dont use a cover on most fitteds as long as the last a while before soaking through. but most of my really pretty nappies are AIO;s or AI2's.

yes at home I just use a fitted with out a cover and some baby legs, and I can't wait until summer this year cos he will be walking and it will be cuter!
I just change every half hour if I need to, no worries. Also if the absorbancy isn't right I often add another booster, the magicall ones and the peapod ones are my favourite throw ins

But yeah, everytime I miss out on getting my hands on a lovely funky nappy, I console myself that it would just be hidden under layers of clothing during this chilly winter weather anyway!

Come live up north and display those gorgeous nappies all year round! And just use AIOs - no need for covers!

I think I only have 1 fitted. I bought it planning on not using it until it's a bit warmer and he can wearing in lieu of shorts.
