    Default Longies for newborn?

    Hi All,

I have been looking at getting some longies for my bub (due in a week!) because it is freaking cold at the moment! But wasn't sure if I should wait until I can take measurements, or is there anyone that makes newborn longies?
    What do you suggest?

    Thanks
    Jodie

NB longies are such a quick knit. I would make the inside leg about 5 inches. I can find a pair around here if you want more measurements.

I wish I could knit...but I don't have the patience......I sew and make jewellery but knitting is just beyond me I think!

    generally 5inch - 6inch (13 - 15cm) inseam and about a 13 - 14 inch (33 - 36cm) rise is about what i would think is a nb - Waist i would say approximately 35 - 40 cm ( allowing for elastic or drawstring to make it smaller anyway.

however - waistbands can always be folded down and cuffs folded up to increase wearability - so infact you can add 3 cm to the legs and about an inch to the rise easily without being too big
