How about a Bambineo terry bamboo nappy? It's good for chunky thighed babies as it's got lots of room for legs and it's pretty trim. You can put an extra bamboo booster in it too. I use them on my bubba but she's only small - still, my bubba will soak a Sandman overnight and I've used a boosted Bambineo (extra bamboo inside and microfibre on the outside) with almost the same absorbancy (but not the same poo-tainment for BF poos). I'd go for a cover that's not prone to wicking - BBH PUL covers wick a bit more on the legs so I'd go Bummis or Motherease if you want to use PUL.
I've never heard of anyone else who uses Bambineo's so it's a risk (I've only been using MCN's for 5 months). They sell them at Darlings Downunder - perhaps you could email Tania for an opinion...

How about a Very Baby Simply Nights? bamboo is available atm, or hemp works well too. I know it's a night nappy, but it would probably be reasonably trim on a 2 yo. My nearly 2 yo wears them at night and I don't find them bulky at all anymore. You can get side snapping too, which means you can adjust the legs and waist seperately to accommodate chunky thighs
I think they are about 14 layers of whatever fabric you get, so fairly absorbent, just more surface area than the nappies you've already tried. might work.

I found that when Mia got to that 2 years + age she was out wetting everything in one wee.
Which I would say is normal because at that age they hold on and do one big wee every so often during the day. So in a nutshell I don't think your going to get trim & super dooper absorbant for a child of this age ![]() I just changed each time she wee'd

They do tend to to do massive wee's at 2! How about using knitted wool shorties over a good fitted (as suggested above), so that even if she does out-wee the nappy, you are not going to have wet clothes?

I agree with Aimee & have the same issues here with Chelsea atm. I'm loving my Itti Bitti Boos atm though. They are nice & trim but we haven't had a leak with them yet. Baby Beehinds Bamboo work well for us too
![]() Kim's idea of a VBSN is a good one & worth trying if you don't mind spending the money ![]() ETA - I also agree with Lindy. I actually get leaks when we use PUL covers now. At least with wool you might get some dampness on compression but won't actually get wet clothes. Definitely give it a try if you haven't already

Agree as above, a trim bamboo night nappy with wool or fleece longies over the top. Try 12ply longies/shorties or fleece as long as you have 2 layers or use a good quality fleece like Malden Mills.
Defiantly go the side snapping night nappies as well for eatable thighs
