Default log in glitch?

I'm being prompted to log in each time I open up the browser with NC which altho strange is OK. But when I do log in, it tells me got it wrong and I've had 1 attempt of 5 - even though I've logged in correctly and can then go on and see everything.

Is it some sort of cookies problem at my end (*pretends to know what she's talking about*) or is it the forum? I'm not having this issue with any other forum despite having cleared my private data recently.

TIA
