Go to User CP
Then go to Group Memberships

Scroll down and at the bottom you will see something that says "You may choose to be identified as a member of the following groups"

One option says "Subscription Group - Additional Forums"

Select this then Update settings.

Voila - you are now purple

Mine has this under that

Contributing Members Identify me as a member of this group
Subscription Group - Additional Forums Subscribed group for additional private forums.
Identify me as a member of this group

Maybe it will change once you've been a member for longer? Not sure why yours doesn't have it.
