no chance anyone has played around with any settings ..... i did find this

Check your computer regional settings in control panel as it may be set to a right-hand writing locale like Arabic or Chinese. Go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, click the Language tab, Click 'More' and then set the Default Input Language to 'English (UK or US)'.

in your open IE page (or what ever broswer u r using) go to the view menu, then encoding, and selecting "Unicode UTF 8"
