Need help getting rid of explorer 8

I downloaded The new Explorer 8 & hate it!!!! It keeps stalling & takes ages to load.
I tried reloading Explorer 7, but it says it can't run because it detects a newer version.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of 8 so I can reload 7........without buggering up the computer?

Go into the Control Panel.
Open Add/Remove Programs
Go down and find Internet Explorer 8 in the list and uninstall.

Install Mozilla as your default.... I can't stand IE, annoys the heck out of me!

You need to install 'something' else before you uninstall IE8, unless you have IE7 on a disc.

I uninstalled & it went to back to explorer 7.
It does drive me nuts - but I'd have to check with DH first - he might get the shits if I change it .
