where have the pics gone - only texty stuff?

If anyone knows why when I try and edit my post in my blog, I can't 'see' the pics (which is usually where you can click and drag them so they fit neatly in a post) rather I can see the computer-speak instead, please let me know then I can fix them up so they are tidy on the page!

just click the link in my sig to get to my blog and you'll see the pics are all over the place but when I go 'edit' or even when I am initially putting the post together, I can't 'see' the pics only the computer talk... iykwim?

within the main area of your posting you should see this coding ...<img style="float:left; ... just before the location of each of your pics ... check each on and you should be able to change the word left / right / centre to the position you want the pics to be on the page.

With your "star and fish and shell pic" ... this is the coding ... img style="float:right; ... if wanting the pic on the left of your page - change the word "right" to "left".

How do you make it smaller with the texty stuff please?

before when I posted/edit the pics would come up as pics and you could use the corner arrow/shrinky thing on the actual pic to make them bigger or smaller to fit yk?

The highlight is the values that need to be changed to change the size.
You would need to do this on your photo editing software on your computer ... saving the original photo at a % size lower [eg. 55% of original size] if that makes sense.
You may need to tick the "keep aspect ratio" box ... this keeps the pic uniform in scale.

Then you would then upload the pics to photobucket again so that the blog can link to them if that is how you do that part of it.

I totally understand about the "arrow thingy" - it makes life sooooo much easier.

IMG_1167occy_1.JPG ... has "img style="float:right;" ... if wanting it on the left then change the word 'right' to 'left'

If you want the pic to be a little smaller in the height - try changing the value of "height" to say 170 instead of 200 and see how that goes.
