    Default Mum can't get into Facebook

    I'm not very good with technical computer stuff but my mum has been using Facebook ok on her computer for a while now all of a sudden she can't logon to it I went & had a look & it just says there is an 'error on page' down the bottom of the logon screen. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing it or how to fix it?

    I forgot to mention, it's not her logon because I can sign onto Facebook with her logon on my computer without any problems.

    FAK, but this happened to me a while ago, go into internet options and clear her cookies. Pretty sure thats what i did. Worth a try.

    going into internet options and deleting temporary internet files will clear any cached pages which would help refresh the page new. also just refreshing the page can somtimes help.

    I've already tried clearing cookies & temp. internet files. I also tried setting Facebook as a 'safe site' because I wondered if it was something to do with a firewall but none of that has helped. I'm out of ideas now

    so it doesn't give you the place to logon at all or does it give the error on page after trying just as a matter of interest?

    It opens the logon page but then when you put in your email & password it just locks on that page & won't actually logon.

    I did some ggogling and this might be worth trying as it worked for a couple of other people. Click on the link below and it takes you to a login page and then try logging in on the one that comes up.

    Welcome to Facebook | Facebook

    The other option is for her to try clicking on reset password on the login page and see if it will take her to the reset password page as it takes you to a new link, so logging in through that might help. she would need to do it on her computer that she is having trouble with though

    ETA and the login doesn't take you anywhere nasty I tested it first
