Who would have thought so much could be said about biscuits!! DS east Shredded Wheat biscuits and sometimes Milk Arrowroots as morning or afternoon snacks some days. They are a stand in when we go to Nannas house so he has something other than chocolate cake, cream sponge or hedgehog slice to eat! I dont mind Nanna giving him a Milk Arrowroot treat but I do mind the chocolate cake. DS has gone through many eating/not eating phases and as he is not quite 1 I dont see it as an issue. He also goes off milk from time to time. Food/milk consumption just has to be taken into account with the signs of a healthy happy baby. They will work out they need to eat and drink in the end!

I hear you on the worry. It's all very well for someone to say they will eat when they need to, they won't starve etc. But show me one mother who doesn't want their kid to eat. I swear Sophie's not-eating is turning me grey. I have to reassure myself everyday that she is ok. She eats more junk than I would choose, probably less than 1% of some kids junk intake, but still, but somedays I do just want her to eat *something* and yep, it's a biccie. The thing is they will ALWAYS eat a biccie or chips. It's one of the rules. So then you start to worry more- maybe she is just starving, she wouldn't have eaten those chips if she wasn't hungry would she? *snap out of it jackie*. My thing lately is iron. *big sigh* her favourite food is spag bol (she actually eats it) so she gets spag sauce shoved down her throat about 3 times a week to make me feel better.
You know what? In a few years/months there will be something else to worry about..LOL Probably boys (or girls ) hahahahahaha...

Gosh Jackie, you seem to understand what I'm going through very well

I hear people tell me for the 100th time that babies will eat when they need to, they will stop when they're full, they won't starve themselves to death, etc. But I dont think any mothers wouldn't worry if there kids don't eat. You know when you figure out that they haven't had anything in their tummies for the past 3 hrs, surely they must be hungry. You know that 60ml of formula in 2 hrs can't sustain their needs, so you want them to eat!

And yep, Becky is still having about 1/3 of Arrowroot milk every day I'm not feeding her chocolate/cake/coke/chips but I slip a couple of teaspoons of homemade mango ice-cream the other day and she loved it LOL (no added sugar though). I'm going to make savoury muffin and wholemeal biccie this weekend, hopefully she'll like them.
