Waaaay OT: removing bbq mate from inside oven... lol

okay.
I did it.

DF so thoughtfully put the burger patties he had made and cooked, on a plate in the oven (prewarmed the oven) coz I said I'd have mine later. And I did.
Then later, forgot what was in there...
and turned the oven on to (a) warm the kitchen and (b) to preheat for baking tonight...
and umm...

also in the oven was...

DF's HOLDEN bbq mate that we bought him as part of a Father's Day gift...
and not just that, but it's actually a really good bbq tool lol...

so any ideas on how to remove the munted molten plastic handle from the bottom of the oven?
(I'm waiting 'til the smell has well and truly gone - even on this freezing night I *had* to open doors and windows to let the smell out - and disconnect temporarily the battery from the smoke alarm!)

oops when it's cool it shoul lift off fairly easily otherwise you could use something to lever it off .... like a bbq mate or an egg flip
