Omg!
My parents are away at the mo so we are looking after their house during the day - one of the neighbours called saying the alarm had gone off but it had gone back off again - it sometimes plays up like this.
Anyway DH just went around to check things out - disarms the alarm - heads in the door and sees ppl in the backyard - I was on the phone the whole time! How scary. He ran over to the neighbours place and I have called the police......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Now I just have to sit and wait Bec.

we got a call about a break in our place one xmas while away.. won't tell you the outcmoe though.. wasn't the best!!

wow Bec hope it was, literally, a false alarm!
Do your folks have pets? Sometimes they set them off... we've had calls from our lovely neighbour before and it turned out to be my (very old) cat deciding to play around a little....

Everything is OK. Police came and had a look around - no sign of entry into the house. Colin is here now safe and sound. The guy poked his head around the corner, saw Colin and bolted. How bloody scary! Didn't know whether to stay there tonight or not but decided not to - I don't want Colin there on his own if they come back. Stereo's etc can be replaced ya know. What is scary is that I had planned to stay there with Gracie tonight and decided not to at the last minute.
