Okay we use Penaten. Kalan has only ever had one nappy rash and that was when he was first born we used this and it went away within 2 days ( was a very bad rash ). Its used for common skin iriitations. It is quite expensive, $28.30 at most chemists some you can get it for 22 dollars though. It works extremely well & lasts for a very long time you only need to use a little. Now I don't know if this is natural but it worked really well for us. If you want to completley disreguard this comment thats fine because I just realised you said natural.

Ha we used sudocream for nappy rashes! I've finally used up the free sample pots out the Bounty Bags.
Now I use either Bubba J bum balm, Pippi Lips Bottom Balm, or Sheepish Grins Grinning All Over (depends what room of the house I'm in! - The Bubba J is in the lounge room, the Grinning All Over in the nursery, and the Pippi Lips in the nappy bag). |

I don't know how these things go with cloth nappies...but I use lansinoh and pawpaw cream for nappy rash (haven't had one since we started cloth). Lansinoh is magic for your nipples too...not that that is actually for baby

(in no particular order)
Gaia I like the moisturiser (for baby and me) and have a bottle of it in the nappy bag for going on the cloth wipes when we're out. I didn't use it that much on baby since I had the olive oil bath, BUT, it was good for those dry cheeks they get sometimes when teething and I think one time I didn't have any olive oil so used this as a 'soak' and comb through for cradle cap. (Zeke had heaps of hair lol and this went through quite smoothly) Tinderbox (calendula ointment - and their belly rub is faaantastic! )pure cornstarch powder from the supermarket (not the one with heat) and I just put it in an empty Gaia powder container - very economical ![]() Olive oil in the bath (still do this for Zeke and he's about 17mths now). No nasty stuff in it - and very obvious what *is* in it! lol Restores a good balance to their skin, doesn't 'clog' and does wonders for bottoms that might get red from teething poos and so on. Moist without being wet, and not drying. My hands are also very appreciative of baby olive oil baths! you only need a few drops per bath, and when they're really little not too much so they don't get slippery! Third time round someone gave us one of those terry/wire frame bath support things w was great - about $14 I think but of course not neccesary.Cloth wipes w cammomile tea Aloe All the above last for ages, are quite economical AND if you don't end up 'liking' them, the olive oil and cornstarch powder go in the pantry, so can the tea bags in case you have visitors who drink it ![]() I used the last of my belly rub for just making the house and stuff smell nice, and still we use Calendula on my older two, so it's not a 'just baby' thing... HTH

the only thing we put on at nappy time is some cornstarch powder, if needed. Other than that nothing.
for evil teething poos or sneaky poos, these are combatted with daily olive oil bath, cornstarch powder, nappy-free time and strong cammomile tea wipes solution. I used to use paw paw but didn't get to get the organic one, (free of petro stuff) so don't any more. Brooke and Jake used to use Calendula as their skin seemed to need to keep more moist, but Zeke's the opposite and needs to be 'drier' so the cornstarch works better for him...
