Unhappy help with night nappy

we have had leaks the last three nights. Whether in a sposie or cloth, DS seems to be wetting out the top and soaking his singlet pants and pj top.

I usually use a 'pul pocket' with hemp trifolded and a 'microfibre' insert. His med 'pul pockets' are getting too small for more boosting so have ordered some petite toddlers. so thats ok hopefully they will do the trick.

But last night my **** o/n fleece pocket did the same. THat had the same combo as my 'pul pocket'. so what more should i be stuffing in there????? I have hemp flats, prefolds, normal cotton, hemp boosters and 'microfibre' inserts.

I would also like to get a wool cover or soaker. Any suggestions on where to get one from?

I was using a ****night fitted nappy but he gets sopping in it and i don't like that against his skin. So fitteds are more or less out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'dd add more hemp (the boosters maybe?) and see how that goes. use the fleece pocket with the higher rise - fleece is more breathable too.
is the microfibre on top, closest to baby? that way it absorbs the wee really quickly.

not sure if that link will work properly and go to the right spot, but on ozebaby there are quite a few soakers atm - look in the wool soaker and longie catergory

was it lined in fleece? that should keep baby dry. perhaps it just needed more boosting (inside of nappy or out)

goodluck!

Snap with the pointing down comment Joh.
My little one is going through another phase where he can't keep his hands out of his pants at night. So every wee goes over the top unless I'm really awake and pulling his hand out, then sticking my hand down there to make sure he's pointing back down again. (yeah, it's weird, but I'd rather do that than change him completely 3 times a night and my bed too LOL)
I am experimenting with some type of overall arrangement so he can't get in there and adjust things - I'll let you know how it goes!
Other than that, more hemp sounds good to me. Definetly go the super fleece liner and wool cover on a fitted IMO, especially if he's weeing out the sides - pockets don't work for us at night (unless they are fitted ones) because he always wees away from the absorbant stuff and leaks out the sides. Fitteds are fantastic for that because it doesn't matter which way he wees (unless it's straight up!) he will always hit something absorbant.

Thanks. will check out whether he is pointing "down" or not, i never thought of that! silly i know.

I usally put the microfibre on top, but DH did last night nappy so not sure.......will check it out.

I think the pul pockets also might be a little short in the rise now so some bigger ones will take more stuffing and be longer so that might help too.

will check out the longies/soakers.

thanks for your help!
