Julie- would pay to make sure whatever you get contains zinc, as this is the appetite one. Also- as Jeni said just make sure that it is designed for kids Brandons age so you don't overload them (yes you CAN get too much of a good thing )

What about starting toddler milk?? Emily is still on that, and I plan to keep her on it for ages.
Once we get off the bottle, it will be in a sippy cup before bed.

My ds has a problem with iron absorbtion. I supplement him with sustagen gold - dutch chocolate (the canned stuff)

I give him 3 teaspoons in a glass of water after brekky and at night and he loves it.

If you need a liquid pentavite is great!! Just add it to a drink of milk for him! Lexus was on that for 2yrs after being born so prem...she had to have it along with another one that is just iron...don't remember the name of that one?

I have just started Finn...he is 31 months old.

I can put a balanced range of foods in front of him, but I can't force him to eat , so I decided I would give him a multi for a bit. He's pretty rapt too...always asking for his 'medicine' LOL.

That would work Brooke - but they don't drink much milk - be lucky to have about 100mls of milk a day.

We use pentavite whenever Noah is sick. He will take it from a syringe.

Julie my dietitian recommended VITAMINI's for Em (you can get them from coles) - they are chewable, but taste incredibly nice (we've tried them!!) - she LOVES getting her tablets!

Incremin is basically just iron & b vitamins from memory and is touted as an appetite stimulant, but I found it did jack all for Em.

Pentavite is another often highly recommended one.

Ferrous Liquid is a straight iron supp (but you probably know all about them anyway!).

I definitely think its worthwhile giving him one. Another thing that we used to do to try and increase Em's calories was to hide formula in EVERYTHING - so mash it in with vegies or whatever so taht even if she only had a few mouthfuls it was loaded with goodness. You can also get Polyjoule which is a high calorie supplement to be added to wet foods/drinks. It was recommended ont he basis that if we got a few more calories into her, she would start to pick up and hopefully want to eat more.

let me know if you want to try polyjoule coz I have a whole tin here that has hardly been touched!
