I'm a little badgerer!
I went to 'Babytime' last week to check out their new store (Geelong), and asked if they had any cloth nappies
 I was pointed in the direction of some terries, of course, on the bottom shelf of a display unit. So I asked if they had any fitted nappies- I of course knew they wouldn't, but I figure if enough people ask, they might just think about stocking them. I gave a quick spiel about MCN, and how you can only really get them over the internet. I decided to go back this morning with some info I printed off, and gave it to one lady and showed her some examples, then she called another lady over to have a look. They both seemed very impressed, especially with the snap in boosters, as one of them said they used to take ages to dry. So she must have know something about fitted nappies! With that, I left them with the info, saying that so many other mums ask me where they can get them, and I'd like to be able to direct them to a store, rather than just the internet which some poeple aren't interested in/don't have access to. I think they might actually look into it. So if any of you Geelong girls are heading out to Babytime (now in Separation St., North Geelong), maybe you could ask them if they have fitted nappies (hehehe, very cheeky, but effective).

Yep!
Will do  Have ALL 4 home with me--school hols--  But will do Saturday  Should I pertend I am looking into starting or do the speil too??

Do whatever you think is most effective Carla! There are men working there too, try to find a lady, as I have spoken to 2 of them now, and they may be more receptive. Take your favourites to show them if you like. The ladies both said that other people have asked about them, I think we could start a revolution!

they're probably comparing them to the fluffies fitteds which do take aages to dry and aren't very absorbent anyway.
i had a couple of baby shops interested when I did the rounds for Real Nappy Week but nothing eventuated  Maybe a phonecall enquiry instead of traipsing all the way out to separation st, i'm rarely over that side of town!

whatever works Tikki, whatever works! They might wonder what's going on if all the enquiries come at once

I was wondering where that store had gone, we have had nothing but wonderful service from the staff in there, they are lovely!
Will have to remember to pop in with some nappies next time I'm out that way
