Default Ever feel your DH is another kid?

My poor husband hurt his back in a fit of coughing last week (he sneezed last night and made it worse!). Unfortunately it turns out to be fairly serious, a prolapsed disc, that might need surgery . Meanwhile he can't work as he is a tradesman. So just like that, I have another boy at home who needs my care, (poor thing is in a lot of pain atm) and we are suddenly totally reliant on government assistance for a while at least. I am so glad we have our nappy stash and don't have to include nappies in the weekly shopping budget. On the upside DH and DS will get to know each other more .

Oh no!
I hope DH recovers ok Sounds awful.

Some daddy time will be nice but it's a shame it's at the expense of his health

i've BTDT, so can totally empathise with your DH. i don't know how mine put up with me - but on the upside he can now wash clothes and cook meals, cakes, anything

i got told, by my specialist, that surgery isn't really a good option (i was also pregnant at the time, something i doubt your DH is ), but found acupuncture really helpful in getting me walking and living without pain again.

Thanks,
yes, surgery is the last thing we want to happen too. We are currently waiting to see the back specialist DH's doctor referred him to. I hadn't thought about acupuncture, good idea to try easing the pain while we wait. Thanks!

My Dh has that condition and attends a physio 3 times a week which should hopefully prevent the need for surgery. Every night e is meant to do exercises and i have to nag him so YES , i feel your pain. Hope your DH can find something that will keep him off the operating table.
