Emma, did that require fresh artichokes? I have never tried them fresh, only pickled! But they are sooo yummy pickled.

oh no. I think there's only two women in the whole competition who wear those pleated skirts You can wear whatever you want. Trackie pants (but it's too hot now for that), shorts, leggings, it doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable.

And that recipe uses a tin of artichokes, not fresh ones, so it's really easy to prepare. PM me if you're interested.

I was a bit naughty tonight for dinner. DH made steak sandwiches. I tried to have a 'good' version of it though

So this morning I've gone for a walk - not very far as I am very unfit but it was still exercise, I've showered had breakfast - 2 weetbix no sugar, skim milk! & I just gave Kalan some yogurt for breakfast & ate half of his banana.

Today has started out very good!

I had two poached eggs and two pieces of multigrain toast with tahini spread on it instead of butter..apparently tooth aches dont curb my appetite! Lol
tahini is my latest experiment..not that I use much butter..it is like peanut butter..seems very healthy.

Well I'm officially back to pre-Lachlan weight and its taken me 6 months to do it. Now to take off what I put on with Josh - only taken 3 years to get around to doing it

Weight loss the past monght has been so slow because DH has been working almost non-stop for the last month so no chance to go for a decent walk, however him not eating at home has meant that I haven't had take out for the month - a small blessing.

I've lost 8.4kg and I feel grea,t especially when I pull on clothes that haven't fit for years but then I see myself in the mirror and realise I'm not the skinny little thing in my imagination and that there's still a long way to go before I look like what I want to look like, so that's really tough - but it will come off, its just taking longer than I want it to.

I'm actually surpised that the weight is coming off, I feel like I've wanted to lose it for ever but the weight has never moved (I thought it would be the same this time), I think I've been kidding myself that I was actually trying before - like I'd exercise but not change my eating habits so now I"m really watching what I eat. I'm so surprised I can eat about 1/2 of what I used to do and not feel hungry.

Anyway I'm glad we're all doing this.

Cheers

Rebekah that's fantastic, well done!

I often think it must be harder for people who have been skinny and gorgeous in their pre-baby life, to face being a normal Mum shape afterwards. Myself, I've always had the tendency to be a bit cuddly so it's easier to deal with!

I know what you mean about being surprised to see the weight come off. You kind of get used to the idea that it's always going to be a struggle, then when you actually make the effort, it actually works!

I've been doing something that I have found really useful for the past month. It's not going to be for everyone, I acknowledge that . I have been keeping a spreadsheet and weighing myself every morning and every night, then I put the weight into the spreadsheet and it creates a graph so that I can see the patterns in my weight fluctuation.

I find this so fascinating - I've become heaps more in touch with my body and understanding how it works. I have noted the times of ovulation and period, and can see a big spike in weight gain during those times on the graph.

I see this as something interesting and fabulous, learning more about my body, and not an obsessive anxious kind of thing. It is exciting when I see on the graph that I've hit a new low! And it helps me when I think that having a big binge won't make a difference - I can see that in the past it has made a difference, and that helps me stay a bit more controlled with what I'm eating.

Just thought I'd share! I probably wouldn't recommend charting your weight so closely if you are likely to get unhealthily obsessed with it though.

That's me Not that I was gorgeous or anything but I was quite skinny and happy with it. I was a size 6-8 and now I'm a size 10-12. My weight was back to pre-Becky and the whole body doesn't look like it used to be. I don't expect it to be the same as I realize it's impossible and I'm not depress about the change Right now I'm trying to tone it up a bit so that I can wear my old clothes, I don't want to buy bigger size

Well done Ana! I have been pleased with the last few weeks too. Have seen so many ups and downs in my weight, but overall there is a slow and steady loss, which motivates me to keep going, so that's good.
