I did join it. And I tried to add that link to my blog but I am not sure where I am supposed to put it. I tried in interests but it just comes up as a bunch of html code and not the clickable link...

Ahhh ok, in Blogger, go to the layout page, then click 'add a page element'. You'll get a pop up window, and a list of choices - select 'HTML/Javascript', then paste that code into the content section that comes up next.
