Walk against warming
Not sure if its happening all over Australia but wanted to alert you all to this event that is happening on the sunny coast and probably elsewhere.
"Once the date for the Federal election is announced we will know the date for the national Walk Against Warming, which will be held on the Sunday 2 weeks prior from the Alexandra Headlands Surf club. Please make a date claimer in your diary as soon as the election is announced. You might say “What difference will going to a walk make?”, but if pollies see people about on the streets, especially right before an election, it really can make a difference to their attitude on an issue. Plus it’ll only be an hour or so out of your day, there’ll be sausage sizzle or you can bring a picnic to have on the beach and it’ll be fun."
