2 years ago today!
After 5 very long days of waiting for labour to start properly (my membranes had ruptured), with many IV antibiotics, many fetal monitorings, accupuncture, accupressure, reflexology, a hypnobirthing special one on one, sacral massage, running up and down many hundreds of steps, hot curries, sore nipples (and other things
 ), belly dancing, castor oil (not to mention many $0000's)....my little girl wasn't coming of her own accord. So I finally consented to a caesar and my little girl was born at 5:30pm today.While you didn't come the way I'd really hoped that you would, you have been an absolute joy and light in my life right from the moment of your birth. I admit I was anxious about the thought of being a mum to a girl - that melted away the instant I saw you. So happy 2nd birthday to my beautiful little girl Ruby. I hope I am a wonderful role model to you as a woman and be a wonderful mum to you as well.

Happy Birthday! This time two years ago I was clutching at my TENS, leaning over the kitchen bench trying hard cope with the pain of labour! Little did I know I still had 10 hrs to go before my little minkey entered the world.
