Default Blimmin Cat not nappy related lol

We went away for a couple of weeks recently and left the cats and house in the hands of one of my husbands work mates. When we got home there was cat sh*t and p*ss all over the house as he hadn't been there for days. Now it seems that one of the cats just thinks she cat do her business anywhere, she peed on my jacket right in front of me the other day and has pooed in the dining room 3 times once right in front of me. I guess what I'm asking is how do i fix this? Anybody got any ideas?

The only way I know is to show them clean litter boxes and then spray a deterrent spray everywhere they keep going. Also, get an enzyme based cleaner to clean where they have done their business so they can't smell it anymore. From what I learnt with mine, it was partly because she could smell it, but also partly because she'd gotten into a habit, so no matter how thoroughly I cleaned, she kept coming back until I used a deterrent spray.

Thanks for that Kirrily, i appreciate it. I will be going to get some of that spray I think. I also took her to the vet this morning and they gave her a shot to calm her down as they think she is stressed due to being left alone to much.

ohhhh poor kitty!

I had to leave mine home alone for 4 days at christmas time and I was very scared of what I would find when I got home. I had friends coming every day to feed her, but they didn't see her cause she's such a scaredy cat and was hiding when they were here, but luckily she didn't wreck anything at all and used her litter box like a good kitty.

Hopefully she chills out soon!
