I forgot to add that I wish he would unstuff the pockets and fold down the tabs before they go in the bucket!

my dp changes them no probs but I have to put them out for him, he has no clue what needs a cover or doesnt, I came home one day from grocery shopping and Chett had one on that was in the pile for the new bub, it looked like a bikini, and lilee had a terry flat that he had folded and it kinda looked like a bikini too, but he was so proud that he changed them and folded the flat one
so hes more than happy to help I just have to let him know whos are whos and hes also banned from cleaning them, because he kept flushing the cloth liners I think it was delibrate

DH taught me how to change Jessica into a flannel flat in the hospital, he was heaps better at it than me .
However, now she has grown and is using MCN's he gets a little confused at times about covers & sometimes can't find one. But it is pretty unorganised at times. Shown once & he is fine! He also knows the washing drill. I've even been impressed at times, when he has put a liner in as well.
On the topic of the nappies making it into the nappy bucket, I've had a little chat about bath time to him as he treats the nappies like clothes & I have to pick them up after her bath, but that has now changed. It's proberly because they look more like pants than old fashioned nappies, as most of my stuff are baby beehinds AIO.
I think guys may get confused as mostly it is the women changing bums all day, and if there was only the one system in use they wouldn't get confused, IYKWIM.

This is the case in our family for sure. I am with DS all but a couple of hours in the day, so that's my job, I know the nappies inside out (quite literally ). I'm happy that DH gets right into it when he does come home from work, and on the weekends.

My Dh hasn't changed one yet, even when we were using sposies. My other son actually offered to change Mac's bottom this morning so hes one up on his dad!Reading some of the thread it sounds like some of the husbands know more about MCN than I do!! But I am pretty new to this. I like the no brainer magic-alls as well!!

Mine changes them under sufference and makes me suffer in the mean time - as though he's doing some greater worldly good or something by changing one nappy *rolls eyes* LOL

Mine will change them if he has to (the one morning a fortnight he watches ds while I'm at work) and that's about it. I don't think it's because they're cloth, I just think he's get out of it even if they were sposies. He won't clean a pooey one though (Probably because I've scolded him a few times for rinsing them in hot water) and I WISH he's unsnap the soakers/remove the inserts before putting them in the pail but looking at his own washing in the basket (sleeves inside out etc) that's never going to happen!
