Default Does your DH/DP change cloth nappies?

And if so, what kinds of things does he struggle with?

Mine has a lot of trouble working out which ones need a cover, and he also doesn't empty the stuffing from pockets when putting them in the nappy bin but that's ok. I usually do it when I put the load on. The other thing I find is I know all the MCNs in our stash so well that I instinctively reach for the right one at the right time (eg an hour before bath, just before a nap or going shopping etc), but of course he doesn't know details like that.

What about your DH/DP?

Hubby is pretty good
We only have AIOs for daytime and Fitteds for night (oh and our new KK AIO ) so it is pretty easy for him!!
And he knows which ones are better for nap time (bamboo), and even unsnaps before pailing and even remembers to rinse the night nappy, and knows the drill with washing them too!!
I rate him very well

Yeap changes then all the time.

I have the AIO and the more similar ones in a nappy stacker and they were always called " daddy nappies".

Mine changes them (I don't give him a choice - we don't have disposables in the house and when he's home I expect him to take equal nappy duty). By now he has a pretty good idea of what is a pocket and an AIO (not that he can feel/see the difference, but he knows the prints/colours of our pockets).

He struggles a bit with side snaps, prefers front touch-tape or front snaps.

Yes, my dh changes bilby when he's home.

He can't tell which MCN have the hidden waterproof layer but i wouldn't either if i hadn't bought it myself.

He's very good at the Little Squirt.

He has a bookshelf of nappy baskets to look at when choosing a nappy, all labelled and catergorised, so i don't think he has to think that much. He likes to put fitteds and woollies on bilby at home, pockets for going out, whatever night combo is dry for nights, but he thinks the Kester Kovers is the best - what a co-incidence it's an AIO!!!

He can put on a nappy load and put the things that need to be in the zippered bags, in the zippered bags. He doesn't do any handwashing of the woollies, but he doesn't handwash his own jumpers either, tends to buy windcheetahs.

He's fine changing bilby when we're out. Our bone of contention, is that if we ever drove with bilby (while she's still in MCN) he thinks we should do environ-sposies, whereas i think we should do MCN and pack the LS, to LS the MCN when we get to our destination.

i wish he would share responsibility for packing the nappy bag, stuffing pockets, but after hearing how some partners don't change ANY nappies (let alone single parents who have to do it 100% anyway), i'm starting to think i'm pretty well off in this department and really have nothing to complain about at all. i don't give it much thought, until a topic like this comes up.

we have a bub whose shape suits narrow crotch nappies, so i guess it's no surprise dh's big hands have trouble putting the pocket inserts in those narrow pocket cavitities. i think if i dropped dead tomorrow, i'd like to think dh would at least keep putting fitteds and woollies/covers on bilby - even if he didn't use pockets ever again.

After almost four years of nappies he still gets confused over which ones need a cover even though keep them on a seperate shelf! That said he changes all manner of nappies and does most of the washing. He's not so good at remember to take stuffers out of pockets though

I have our nappies divided up in storage baskets.

Dh knows which baskets hold the AIO'S and the one that holds the night nappies. He also knows to put a soaker over the night nap.

He stays away from anything else and definitely won't stuff nappies or snap them back together. He does his fair share of changes when he's home.

Dh has always been great at nappy changes, be it the newborn flanny flats or the night nappies now He knows when the bucket is full it's time to do a wash - sure he asks which number on the machine is the nappy wash, but I can live with that

And he was the only one who could use the LS without the walls needing a wash afterwards :blush
