I was sure everyone was paying extra on their electricity and were covered for ambulance, or has that changed now

that levy is a Qld thing only.
Some private health insurance includes ambulance cover

we got one of those sorts of bills a few years ago. Now you've reminded me to check if we need updating.

Never heard of it being in the electricity bill

In victoria you need to have membership unless you have a health care card/pension, or private health cover.
You QLDers get all the good deals!

Its a good idea. Stops the shock of a huge bill if you need an ambulance from memory its only around $5 each power bill, i can't remember exactly how much, not overly huge.

Yeah we used to have to pay a membership fee but with it being in with the electricity now (in Qld), it makes it one less thing to forget to pay lol.
Ouch on the $2300!!
