Cas, sorry to get you excited!
Kara, we have a ways to go yet before I get jumped on in the middle of the night... I'm lucky if he comes out from under the wardrobe at the moment and the dog sleeps on the bed, so those two will have to get to be friends before anything else.
I managed to get him out from under the wardrobe a few times today. He's eaten lots and played quite a bit and given me a thousand kisses and hissed at the dog a few times but actually played on the floor for quite awhile while the dog watched from the bed, so we're making good progress. Devil cat is still mad and scared to come in here now, but hopefully it doesn't take too much longer before they will tolerate each other...
