OMG - he ate rice!!!!

I can't believe it! DS1 has never wanted rice, always spat it out and tonight I thought I'd try again...I made pumpkin risotto so it's nice and mushy.

And I just thought double whamy - he won't eat it because because of the rice and there's a veggie in there.

But as soon as I turned my back to put some in his bowl, I found he'd climbed onto his chair and was waiting and never spat even 1 spoonful out.

Well done. They're funny little people, one day they refuse to eat something the next it seems to be their favourite. Alex is trying all different things at the moment which he normally would refuse.

We're doing a very baby step here. Becky's the most fussy eater on the planet and has a very very limited diet.

I was so stoked last weekend when she tried 2 chicken nuggets at Maccus!!!! She'd never wanted them and she finally ate some this time So I know how you felt.

oooh yes jade at chicken and ham at 5.5 years - woot!
kinda sad though as im a vegetarian and was proud she only ate sausage
