My DP refuses. He wants more children, but even if he did not- he would still refuse the procedure

I think Pete would eventually, but I am of the opinion that he is too young yet. I would like more (shudder to think of the pregnancies) but Pete is so admanant that he doesn't want any more.

There are other semi (long stretch type measures) that we looked at and we ended up going with the Mirena. Best thing I have ever done as we are both super fertile and once we decided to have kids, it happened mighty quick and I am not sure of how B was concieved.

maybe i wasnt that clear, the only way that i would ever have more kids would be with another man as my DH is adimant that he has finished our family and i fully respect that decision. So we are 100% sure that this is it for us.

the chances of me finding another man are so slim as i am totally and utterly in love with my DH, it would be only if something happened to him (like death) that i would need to find my toy boy :p

i am feeling like that i do want more- but it wouldnt be for so long and by then i think i would be estrablished in my career etc... and prob wouldnt go back. Im so over being stuck at home with no money and stressing about interest rates etc... im actaully planning on working on Sunday- and Dh an have all the kids

ETA_ the reason i am 100% sure that its ok for the V and yet i want more is coz i fully respect that DH does not want any more kids. There is no if buts or maybes this is it for us! He doesnt want any more and i am scared to think of his reaction if we did have more (he would be fine but i dont want to put him in that position)

I told DH to get a snip the other week and bub #2 is still cooking

Ideally, I'd like to wait until this bub is about 9-12 months old and make a definite decision. DH doesn't mind having another kid but I'm pretty sure I'm done

My DH & I decided early into our pregnancy with Chelsea that she would be our last bub. He had the snip when she was approx. 3 months old.

Then I had a suspected pregnancy when she was 4 months old & it got me thinking that maybe it wouldn't be so bad afterall to have a 4th. I spent the next 2 years deeply regretting our decision It's only just in the past couple of months that I have started to really feel at ease with it but I don't think that those clucky feelings when I see a pregnant belly or newborn bub will ever go away.

FWIW, my DH hasn't regretted the decision for 1 second & maintained that he wouldn't have agreed to a 4th baby even if it was a possibility.

Good luck with your decision.

I think it depends Carolyn.
Make DH an appointment with the Dr... there's no referral, just a consultation at which he is counselled and checked. Then another appointment is made for the procedure.
If he has any doubts they won't go ahead with it.
The kids' father went and had the big snip about 10 wks ago - apparently the Dr asked him why he wanted it, he told him he had 4 kids and was already 46 so he was done straight away before he could change his mind!
He always refused while we were together but after J he changed his mind.
