Default Blind cords- any ideas how to make child-safe?

Hi all

I have a bit of a dilemma with some blind cords in our spare room (which is to become Hayden's bedroom as I am separating the twins). There are a couple of very low windows (almost ground level) and I am trying to think of a way to get the blind cords out of harms way. There are 3 separate strands on each blind- so at least there is no loop...but it still worries me. Any ideas appreciated!

Lindy

can you screw a hook or something up high to wind them up or loop them onto?

you could attach a hook to the wall high up that you could wrap the cord around when you're not using it Lindy. even just a stick on one would probably work. if it's a venetian, then what we do with ours is loop the cords through one of the slats high up, if that makes sense. ours aren't that long, and only bathrooms anyway, but the boys like to mess with them if they can get their hands on them this seems to work anyway, and not too much drama if we need to put the blinds up or down.

we have these cord winder thingos, dream baby brand i think, we bought from bunnings, they weren't overly expensive.
You thread the cord into the circular plastic reel, then wind it up, and the cord disappears inside it.
the cords end up out of reach.
they are quite nifty
They don't affect the function of the cords, they just shorten them, so not too dangly
i guess other idease would be a couple of nails hammered into the wall/frame up high, and wind the cord around those???

Oh Carmen they look like they would do it! So the cord just rolls up inside there?

Alicia & Kim- I considered that but they would just yank on it then and it probably would become more of a hazard as a loop would form iykwim? I probably need to take a pic of the window to make it clearer- but the top of the window (and therefore blind) is still really low to the ground...then there is a divider with another window up high.

I put a little stick on hook up high and then wind the cord around that.
