Default Donuts

This is for all those who keep bringing that cupcake thread and that chocolate brownie thread back! Those threads just taunt me

I just had donuts! Gluten/wheat/dairy free and oh so yummy and cooked in my new donut maker in just a couple of minutes. I'm in love with that thing!!! Thanks to the lovely ladies who told me that the donut maker existed. I think it was Bron and Theresa from memory. I'm a happy girl, despite these darn dairy withdrawals.

Ooooh yummy!
My sister has been on a gluten free diet so I made her these cakes:
Berry cakes - Recipe - Taste.com.au

They are gluten free and have no milk, but they do have butter in them but I'm sure you could use Nuttelex (sp?) instead.

Mine is a kambrook and I got it for less than $20 on ebay. Apparently Big W have one for $20 too - not sure what brand though. They're like a sandwich toaster/jaffle maker but with tiny donut holes.

The recipe is in the book that came with it. I just substituted rice/buckwheat/corn flour for wheat flour, non dairy margarine for butter and darifree (potato milk) for milk.

Let me know if you want the exact recipe and I'll go grab it.

I've had a donut maker for yeeears - I think it's vintage now. It rocks I have a recipe somewhere for yogurt & honey ones, sounds odd but it ROCKS. (Sorry, not dairy free though obviously!)
