Thing to do on the gold coast

At the end of June we will be going to the gold coast for 3 weeks and I thought I would ask here if anybody knows what activities or things there are to do down there for a 16 month old. Besides shopping at pac fair which i could do for most of a day lol.

Macintosh Island, just north of Surfers has lots of ducks, swans and peacocks to feed and some good play areas. There are also puppet shows there during school holidays. There are some nice protected beaches on the broadwater side of the Spit (near Seaworld). You can go for a walk around Burleigh headland and count the bush turkeys. There are some short walks to waterfalls and views in Springbrook & Binna Burra. Most of the libraries have toddler rhyming and story sessions. There's loads to do on the Coast. I'll try and write some more ideas later when I get these girls to sleep

Currumbin wildlife sanctuary is good. Can feed the roos.

behind australia fair there is a fantastic park and theres a public pool as well. the wildlife sanctuary is fantasticand great fun. dreamworld has a tiny kids area (wiggle bay) plus i think the nick jnr area.

We went up there when Eden was 18 months and he loved Dreamworld. We spent ages at Wiggle Bay with its playroom for under 3s (or 4s?). He also loved feeding the kangaroos and baby farm animals. We also went to Wet'n'Wild (might be a bit cold for June) and went shopping for a couple of days. As we were staying with friends, we spent the other days at their house. As Eden always hated going in the car he enjoyed staying home playing with his toys!

Carrara Markets..I don't like them myself, but loads of tourists head there every weekend. The Friday Night beachside markets...don't mind these ones, a bit more crafty. All the theme parks, harbourtown for shopping....will think of more too
