It's hard to start with - but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. The crumbs are the part that annoy me

That Amish bread is really easy to slice. I can slice it just as thin as normal sandwich slices. But you really need to reduce the amount of sugar - it's far too sweet with the reccommended amount

I'm a bit the same. I love making bread, have done it a few times.... but..... hate the way it comes out of the bread maker, can't slice it very well, can't seem to find a "from scratch" recipe that I like, and can't seem to find anywhere to get a decent bread tin to cook it in.

I'll definately give the above recipe's a go, they look so good!!!

Anyone got any suggestions as to where to get a good tin from??

I searched high and low for a good tin.

I bought mine from Chef's Essentials. It is unbranded and was about $30

I also asked in a bakery and the baker was about to throw some tins out, sadly they were too wide for my miserly small oven so they're still in the shed (it was the 3 joined side by side)

I am too much in love with my breadmaker *blush*

But it is the lay-down loaf style iykwim so basically comes out like it would do if you did it in a tin in the oven. Call me vain but I think the look of the loaf means a lot lol
