Default Snack type foods

Since our diet change, I'm finding it hard to have that "I just want to much on something" type of food.

I am looking for ideas. We aren't totally failsafe, but are no preserves and additives and definitely NO colours.

Any suggestions on foods I can just keep in the cupboard that aren't biccies???

I always keep plain Sakata rice crackers, corn thins, rice cakes, homemade hommus, coriander pesto and similar items for snacking.

Frozen berries, dried fruit minus the sulfurdioxide (it looks darker still tastes good) what the others said, you can make your own potato chips with a mandolin in no time at all.there are some ideas hope that helps I am not a fail safer though.

I was going to suggest home made popcorn. Mmmmm my mouth is watering at the thought of it.

I second the plain sakata rice crackers. My kids love home made hommus though Toby is the most shocking double dipper
Rice cakes with butter are popular here. Toby's current favourite is "nana on a stick" - 1/3 of banana on a tupperware icecream stick lol!

There is a new wholemeal Sakata rice cracker which tastes great.

Also craisins, dried cranberries are yummy, as are dates. Both are preservative free. Our cupboard is aiming to be chemical free from after doing the elimination diet.

Except for the weight watchers museli bars which are full of chemicals but low fat and yummy!
