I did a bachelor of Education. These days I work 1-2 days per week as a relief teacher at my older kids Primary school. Occasionally I bring in my toddler and she plays in the corner with some toys. They are desperate for relief teachers so they don't mind at all.

I have worked as a Nanny in the US, a travel agent, and now I work for a charity doing Event Management. I manage one big event per year, and work from home. I worked from home pre baby also, so I am very fortunate.
I currently work 24 hours per week, which is increasing by the day as my event is in August. Looking forward to September when things slow down again!!
I didnt finish school, and did a business/travel management diploma after the Nanny work, but before the Travel Agent work.

I have also had casual/part time work (school age mostly)at:
Supermarket (check out chick)
Movie theatre
Cafe (coffee maker)
Fast Food (Macdonalds & Kebab place)
Office Cleaning
Post Office
Camera Shop
Blockbuster Video

Not sure what to do in the future. Happy with my job now as its not to hard, and suits our lifestyle well. Not very challenging though so would like to get the brain working more once all kids we have are school age.

well Joh I finished school, but havne't completed much since then

Was working at Library during school and for year after.... also stared accounting degree but after 1 semester was smart enough to know it was not for me and quite

Then did lots of admin/accounting officer type jobs for a few years..... did do a certificate 2 or 3 in gardening and landscaping but have never used it

Then worked as a vet nurse for a few years until i had a few early complications with Em's pregnancy and that was the end of it....

Have done a bit of book-keeping from home since then but not eve that now...

REALLY want to do a Science degree - probably biomedical science when the girls are older and my cooking burden isn't what it is.... so that's at least 2 years away before we finish our current round of this program....

Nothing exciting here I'm afraid....

Hey Theresa, I was so close to being a vet nurse but found it very hard to get a job without any experience.

So anyway after finishing high scool i started an arts course at uni. quit that after 6 months.

Then did a kennel and cattery course that was awesome at TAFE. That was supposed to lead into vet nursing job but didn't.

Then went back to uni and switched to a Bachelor of Screen production in Digital media. A fairly fun but ultimately useless course in the real world. But with that knowledge we later started our design and web business which dh runs now(though he has so many more skills than i ever did.

6 months after finishing my degree I was pregnant. I am very comfortable being a mum and not earning the money. In a couple of years time I will be starting a fashion design course as that is what i have a real passion for. I'm happy to dabble in it till my time is freed up some more to look at it a bit more seriously.

my partner is kinda in the same field as you Sarah. He's a conservation geneticist (that's an easy title for what he does. Basically research science with a conservation focus) finishing up doing a post -doc at the moment. There is so little funding in science though which is so sad and at the moment we're not too sure what or where we are going to be come Sept.

Me...I'm the opposite end of the spectrum

BA in fine arts major in painting then a Grad dip in sec Ed. Worked in schools for a bit before we moved to ACT where I got a job as an Education Officer in an Art Gallery. Great job but the politics of the place sucked.

Now sahm/ some time wahm doing some arty stuff. Hope to up-size what I'm doing eventually. Don't plan on ever returning to teaching but can see myself doing work in Art Galleries again. Loving being at home with my own little creative being's at the moment

Worked casual jobs from about year 9 till the end of year 12.

I completed high school, didn't do so great though.

Went to the USA as an exchange student for a year. Worked as a volunteer for the summer as an animal attendant.

Did one year of a TAFE course on animal attending - found it too focused on lab situations and didn't go back for the second year.

I worked full time in the service desk at woolies for a while.

Did an admin traineeship at the RBA in Sydney, working in the banking/health fund/social stability depts. Was 20 weeks pregnant with #1 when I finished up there.

So I have done no paying work since I was 21....I am now 28 and a SAHM to four.

What do I want to do in the future?.....................no ideas really. Working a couple of days within school hours would be nice I guess.................but thats a couple of years away at least.

This question scares me a little!

I am a teacher at heart, it's what I LOVE to do, but I've never actually done it!! lol

I've worked casually, on and off in retail and hospitality for the last 13 years. Worked as a Teacher Aide/Tutor and did a little stint in childcare but it bugged me....I wanted to teach!

I finally graduated with my Bachelor of Education in December after completing my internship which I just loved doing. I was 6 months preganant at the time though and so have never actually worked as a qualified teacher as yet. I plan to, ideally just 2 or 3 days a week but not for a while now....I plan to spend time being a SAHM now, which I never did when my first two were little.

I find I need little 'projects' to keep my mind going though.....MCN, learning to sew, knit, working on teaching the kids at home before they go off to school, and at the moment I'm trying to BF again after weaning about 8 weeks ago. All this stuff gives me a purpose, something that I enjoy, something to think about which is what stops me from going stir crazy, lol.

Dunno if I answered your question Sarah......

Having a not too great education, lol I worked as a checkout chick, fell pregnant at 16 with lil miss and then in the years after that did a human resource management course which I finished and found quite boring so wont be going anywhere with that and now I'm using my sewing skills etc as a wahm.......In the future to accompany my DH who is doing biomedical science degree and most likely medical school after that I will look into doing a medical receptionist course.......I want to be at home as much as possible while the children are young but also know I need some 'me' space.
