Default Re: grocery prices

That sucks Lori. We have one called the a1 fruit market which is where I buy my fruit and veg...
For about $40 I can get a fortnights worth of fruit and veg and it will last all fortnight. It is awesome there... and we eat a lot of f&v cos the boys love it (think 3 or more pieces of fruit a day!) I need to get 2 busses to get there and 2 busses back (about an hour each way) but it is so worth it because I get about 4 green bags full to the brim of stuff

Wow - there are some really cheap F&V places interstate by the looks - I have never seen apples for 99c/kg here - or even $1.99 for that matter - we pay around the $4 mark on average for nice apples, sometimes up to $6 or $7. Supermarkets tend to be roughly the same as F&V stores but no where near the quality. I spend between $30 and $50 a week on fruit and veg per week on average.
