Default Jemma brings home the bacon...

You would think that at about 12 years old
having had a litter of puppies
and her 'op' (no more puppies) done
she might settle down a little...

well she has... kinda lol and her bout of pancreatitis a while ago that most of you would remember, well that may have settled her a little.
You might think that slowly losing her hearing, she would therefore be getting 'older' (read: more mature)
But no, she's still a nut. lol ok she's LESS of nut lol but in the grand scheme of things, still young at heart and enjoying life - throwing and catching her ball/toilet roll holder/shoe whatever she decidees to play with, leaping and playing with it like a puppy.

Well...
today she bought home the bacon lol
one of the kids left their piggy bank out on the table in the back room. Now, whether it might have had a smear of vegemite or something on it from little hands initially, I don't know, but while she knows not to come inside, she would have only had to poke her head (not her feet ) inside the door to reach it. It's been sitting there for about 4 weeks now so I don't know what appealed to her about it just today... so I thought I'd share this pic as I sprung her Just after I took this she looked up me like 'what Mum?' lol (laying on a green collection bag lol)

Gee don't I look innocent lol
There is now not much left now to recognise of it as a piggy bank! Not eaten as in consumed, just destroyed and lovingly chewed!

She's not normally a chewer, and doesn't bother any of our stuff normally as she's smart enough to know what she is and isn't allowed to have... but as I explained to the kids, if you leave your things down where she can reach and they smell or taste good to her, it's not her fault if she thinks you've put them there just for her!
And in light of last year's epoisode, we're usually even more careful of what's about... She's a nut but she's our nutter

Hehehe too funny and she's gorgeous! She sounds an awful lot like my dog actually. He knows what he's allowed to play with and not allowed to touch, but every now and then something just proves irresistable! And I get asked how old my puppy is at least once a week. He's 4.5 years old - not quite a puppy, but he is so animated and bouncy that it's easy to understand why people are confused.

Kirrily - exactly lol - Jemma's the same only nearly three times as old as your puppy!

Ta Fiona, even when she's being mischievious she's still cute you made me think of 'mine mine mine' out of Nemo with the seagulls... lol

That is such a cute photo. I wonder why she thought it was irresistable all of a sudden.
